刘凤君,男,字龙朋,号神通居士。美术考古学科创建人。1952年出生于山东省蒙阴县。1978年毕业于北京大学。主要从事美术考古和艺术史教学研究与书法创作研究。
刘凤君教授现为山东大学美术考古研究所所长、山东大学校聘关键岗位教授、历史文化学院书法文化研究所所长,艺术学院特聘教授,历史学、艺术学、考古学博士生导师,学科带头人。兼任少林文化研究所学术委员、兰州大学兼职教授、中国古陶瓷学会常务理事、山东画院高级画师、山东羲之书画艺术研究院副院长、山东盛世收藏文化交流中心专家委员会主任、山东文物艺术拍卖指导中心顾问、山东收藏家协会艺术总监、山东东方艺术院书画创作研究院院长、台湾汉光书会学术顾问、2002年被中国文物报社评为中国文博考古百位名家之一,2004年被国务院西山事务管理局聘为中国当代书画名家。 刘凤君教授是一位国内外著名的学者,他已独立出版《中国古代陶瓷艺术》、《考古学与雕塑艺术史研究》、《美术考古学导论》、《山东佛像艺术》等学术专著4部,发表学术论文70余篇,部分学术论文已被翻译成英、日、韩等文字发表。主编《美术考古学100问》、《黄河三角洲佛教造像研究》和《四门塔阿閦佛与山东佛像艺术研究》等学术专著。长期招收和指导中外硕士和博士研究生。讲授过美术考古学、美术史概论、古代书画艺术、雕塑艺术、陶瓷史、佛像艺术、古代玉器、考古学理论与方法、考古学通论、汉唐考古和中外美术比较研究等课。2000年获山东大学优秀教学成果一等奖第一名。多次领队主持田野考古调查和发掘。 刘凤君教授的学术专著和论文近20次获山东大学、山东省和中国社会科学院夏鼐考古学优秀研究成果奖。2001年10月《美术考古学导论》被《中国文物报》读者投票评选为10种20世纪中国文博考古最佳论著之一。其它九种均为中国社科院郭沫若、夏鼐、陈梦家等学术大师们的专著。 刘凤君教授自幼酷爱书画艺术。学书临帖自颜、柳入门,临二王和米等法书。其后又遍临商周青铜器铭文拓本。1999年第二届“世界华人艺术大奖”期间,他的书法作品获“国际荣誉金奖”,并享有“世界杰出华人艺术家”荣誉称号,自2004年以后多次应国务院事务管理局邀请,赴京为中央领导挥毫。 他多次应邀赴台在10多所高校演讲美术考古。2002年7月他又应法鼓山基金会邀请赴台鉴定和与该会商谈无偿捐献四门塔隋代佛头像并开具鉴定书,同时受该基金会委托,在山东省协调解决迎佛头像的各项事宜和负责业务工作。2002年12月17日佛头像顺利回归他被誉为“四门塔佛头回归的功臣”。 多次接受新华通讯社、中央电视台、中央人民广播电台、山东电视台、山东广播电台、山东教育电视台、齐鲁电视台、台湾电视台、湖南电视台、济南电视台和《人民日报》、《中国文化报》、《中国教育报》、《大众日报》、《现代教育导报》、《齐鲁晚报》、《联合日报》、《中外新闻》、《山东画报》、《文史哲》、《时代文学》、《中国时报》(台湾)、《更生日报》(台湾)、《艺术家》(台湾)以及美国《国际日报》、日本《朝日新闻》等媒体记者专门采访,他的美术考古和艺术史教学研究与书法艺术对并都进行了专题介绍和高度评价。 Prof. Liu is supervisor of doctorate students and director of The Art and Archaeology Research Institute of Shandong University. Concurrently a professor with Lan Zhou University, he is also a member of the Academic Committee of Shaolin Culture Research Institute, Executive Member of China’s Association of Ancient Ceramics, chief advisor of Shandong Association of Collectors, Director of Yan Huang Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, advisor of Hong Kong Association for Spreading Chinese Art, advisor of Taiwan Hanguang Calligraphers Society. ology. Prof. Liu now takes in and gives lectures to graduate students with the master’s and doctor’s programs and has lectured on Art and Archaeology, Introduction to the History of Art, Calligraphy and Paintings of Ancient China, the Art of Sculpture, China’s History of Ceramics, the Art of Buddha Sculpture, Jade Articles of Ancient China, The Theory and Method of Archaeology, A General Survey of Archaeology, Archaeological Studies on the Han and Tang Dynasties and A Comparative Study of Chinese and Foreign Arts.Many times he has led and directed field researches and excavations. Prof. Liu has been awarded China’s Xia Nai Award for Outstanding Research in Archaeology. He has also received awards from China’s Academy of Social Sciences, Shandong Academy of Social Sciences and Shandong University. In October 2001, his Introduction to Art and Archaeology was selected by readers of China’s influential China Cultural Relics Post as China’s Ten Best Works on Cultural Relics and Archaeology in the 20th Century,the other nine An ardent lover of calligraphy and Painting, Prof. Liu has started practicing calligraphy by copying the models of Yan Zhenqing and Liu Gongquan and has done much copying of the works of Wang Xizhi, Wang Xianzhi and Mi Fu. After that he has copied all the books of rubbings from the bronzes inscriptions of the Shang and Zhou Dynasties.In 1999, a piece of his calligraphy was awarded the Gold Prize at the Second International Great Award of Chinese Artists and he has been conferred the title of Outstanding Chinese Artist of the World. with the Foundation for donating gratis the Buddha head. Entrusted by the Foundation, he has helped arrange for the welcome of the return of the Buddha head and has led to the smooth return of the Buddha head on Dec. 17, 2002. Prof. Liu has been interviewed and reported by mass media, both home and abroad, among which are Xinhua News Agency, CCTV, Central People’s Broadcasting Station of China, Taiwan-based Zhong Guo Shi Bao (China Times), Geng Sheng Daily, Artists, Guo Ji Ri Bao(International Daily) of the United States, Asahi News of Japan and the local media of Shandong Province.
